that China will provide a total of US$100 million in free military aid to
the African Union over the next five years to support the establishment
of the African Standby Force and the African Capacity for Immediate
Response to Crises.

Colleagues,
As the United Nations enters a new decade, let us unite ever more
closely to forge a new partnership of mutually beneficial cooperation
and a human community with a shared future. Let the vision of a world
free of war and with lasting peace take root in our hearts. Let the ideals
of development, prosperity, fairness, and justice be put into action across
the world.
